What Drivers Need To Bring
If you are coming to see us to register or onboard with Picks Travel, please make sure you bring or have ready all the required documents and items listed below.
Ensure everything is up to date and clearly matches your details for a smooth activation process:
1. DVLA Driving Licence
- Must be a photograph of the front of the current UK DVLA Plastic Driving Licence
- Must be a full licence, not provisional
- Address (including postcode) must match with your Private Hire Driver's licence
Example: Clear photograph showing front of DVLA plastic driving licence.
2. Private Hire Driver's Licence (PHL)
- Must be issued by Liverpool City Council
- Must be a photograph of the front of the current Private Hire Driver's Licence
- Your Name, Licence Number, Address and Expiry Date must be clearly shown
Example: Liverpool City Council Private Hire Driver Certificate / Badge document.
3. Private Hire Vehicle Licence (PHV)
- Must be issued by Liverpool City Council
- Must be a clear photograph of the entire page
- Must be a valid Private Hire Vehicle Licence
Example: Liverpool City Council Private Hire Vehicle Licence document.
4. Insurance Certificate
- The insurance policy must state for Private Hire or Hire and Reward
- Make sure that the insurance policy does not have any typos in your name
- Insurance documents with time restrictions on coverage are not accepted.
If you rent a car:
- Fleet insurance policy certification and any other supporting documents such as Policy Schedule (Driver and Vehicle schedule) and/or Permission letter.
5. Profile Picture
- We will take your photograph in person for your driver profile
- Visible to clients on the Picks Travel passenger App

6. Vehicle Photo
- We will take a photo of your vehicle in person during your visit
- Ensures your vehicle meets appearance and platform presentation standards
Example: Vehicle presentation standard for our fleet.
